Whalemart City Plunging us headlong into the shemozzle of a city of hyper-convenience, this re-imagining of Tokyo is a dense, neonlit world, where a service industry of artificially intelligent robotic drones swarm above and around us, eager to cater for our every need. Acting like an urban reef, the city becomes a feeding ground for a strange aquatic-caste system of automated crustacea: from delivery shrimps to whale-like storage zeppelins, rubbish collecting crabs, to mobile sushi kiosks. This pumped-up manga-inspired city is an immersive vision, where the rules of transaction have been re-written, where the streets teem with life and where the bass has been permanently turned up to ten.
